# Free Youth Soccer Playing Time Spreadsheet (Excel & Google Sheets)

Canonical URL: https://pitchtime.app/playing-time-spreadsheet

Make a playing time tracker template for your team. Add your roster, choose the number of matches and download an Excel workbook with totals, attendance and each player’s share of available minutes.

## Download your playing time tracker template

Enter a team name, up to 30 unique player names (one per line), 1–200 matches (default 12), and a match length of 10–120 minutes. Download .xlsx or .csv in your browser. Names stay on your device and in the downloaded file.

## How do I track playing time?

Enter minutes in each match column; use 0 for an attended match with no playing time.

Enter A for absent. Leave future matches blank; neither counts as available time.

Match length is in B2. Use this workbook for matches of that length.

Total adds minutes. Available counts attended matches × match length. Share % is Total ÷ Available.

Owed vs average is the positive gap below the team’s average total. Check absences before planning extra minutes.

In Google Sheets, choose File → Import → Upload and select the .xlsx file.

The workbook has players down the rows and matches across the columns, with Total (SUM), Available, Share %, Team average and Owed vs average formulas. Instructions are on a second sheet. The CSV has the same table without formulas; update its totals manually.

## Open in Google Sheets

Choose File → Import → Upload and select the downloaded .xlsx. Use your own Google account; Pitch Time does not create or connect one.

## Prefer not to maintain a spreadsheet?

The [season minutes tracker](/minutes-tracker) does the maths. Record matches in your browser and see who needs more minutes next game.

## Bring fair minutes onto the field

Pitch Time generates fair playing time lineups and tracks minutes through the season. Free for teams of up to 12 players.
